As a Content Manager within the Branding division at Arenas, you have a passion for people and a love of storytelling. You’re able to work quickly with flexibility, initiative, and confidence in managing a complex workload. You’ll be responsible for writing content, innovating strategies across multiple channels (blogs, newsletters, podcasts, video scripts, and social media copy), and managing and overseeing all content development for your clients. You can effortlessly switch between brand voices and are excited to learn more about a variety of fields and industries. The Content Manager is client-facing and requires the maturity and confidence needed to shine in front of our executive-level clientele, and you’ll bring creativity, innovation, strategic thinking, and authenticity to the table for every project. You’re a team player who is collaborative, transparent, and honest and positively engages cross-functionally with everyone on our growing team.

What You’ll Do
- Partner with our team to lead “Thought Leader Days,” 6-hour in-person workshops that set the foundation for new clients’ brand identities and strategies
- Develop brand identities, which include a brand story, voice and tone, four core messaging pillars, nine angles for unique messaging, and elevator pitches
- Develop personal brand content strategies, which could include strategies for blogs, newsletters, video series, podcasts, and any relevant social media channels
- Develop weekly content aligned with each client’s brand strategy and business objectives
- Develop ongoing editorial calendars for each client and make regular recommendations for improved content performance based on client data and industry knowledge
- Share proofreading and editing tasks with other writers— attention to detail is key
- As needed, oversee content contractors who may support projects for our team
- Continually keep an eye out for opportunities for improvement or enhancement in Arenas’ branding products and processes—we want to hear your ideas!
What is Expected
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content across all client accounts
- Ability to work quickly and keep up with a rapidly growing department within a fast-paced agency
- Map out content strategies that support and extend marketing initiatives, short- and long-term, determining which methods work for clients and why. Continuous evolution of strategy is a must
- Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
- Work closely with our PR Manager to ensure continuity in client voice and objectives
- Ability to work individually and cross-functionally with our PR Manager and others for continuity
- Mature, polished presentation skills with high comfort interfacing with executive-level clientele
- Exceptional proofreading and editing skills
What is Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of experience in content development and strategy
- In-depth knowledge and awareness of all social media channels, evolving best practices, and relevant social media strategies/innovations
- Familiarity with social media management software such as Airtable, Sprout Social
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
